ABOUT THE HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY CIVIL SERVICE BOARD

The Hillsborough County Civil Service Board (HCCSB) serves as an independent arbiter between county agencies and employees who wish to appeal a disciplinary action imposed on them by their employing agency. We provide information and guidance to agencies on the disciplinary process and to employees on their rights within the appeal process.

The HCCSB is also a centralized provider of human resource services related to filling and managing jobs, maintaining human resource policies, managing employee records, and ensuring fair treatment of employees. The Board serves 20 independent County agencies with nearly 10,000 employees.
